The Digital Literacy and Creativity Festival is a full-day celebration of technology, learning, and innovation, organized by Ordina’Coeurs Pour L’Afrique. This event brings together students, educators, families, and technology enthusiasts to explore the power of digital tools in education and community development. The festival combines workshops, demonstrations, and interactive experiences to inspire creativity and digital engagement.

The day begins at 9:00 AM with an opening keynote introducing the importance of digital literacy and the role of technology in education and community empowerment. Speakers discuss the global digital divide, the opportunities provided by digital access, and the ways in which technology can foster creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

From 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, the festival offers beginner-friendly workshops on essential computer skills. Participants learn to navigate operating systems, use productivity software, and explore basic internet tools. Hands-on activities allow attendees to apply what they learn immediately, reinforcing practical understanding and confidence.

A coffee break from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM allows attendees to connect, share ideas, and discuss technology-related experiences. Following the break, a session on digital creativity takes place from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants explore graphic design, multimedia projects, and presentation creation using accessible software. These workshops emphasize expression, storytelling, and innovative thinking.

Lunch is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, after which the afternoon focuses on coding, problem-solving, and collaborative projects. From 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, participants are introduced to basic programming concepts, logic building, and interactive coding exercises. Mentors guide attendees through practical challenges, fostering teamwork and analytical skills.

From 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, participants engage in project showcases, where teams present their creative digital work. Projects include multimedia presentations, digital art, and practical solutions for local community challenges. Judges and mentors provide feedback and encouragement, highlighting creativity, innovation, and practical application.

The festival concludes with a closing ceremony from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM, celebrating the achievements of participants, recognizing volunteers, and emphasizing the continued importance of digital literacy. Attendees leave with enhanced skills, inspiration for future projects, and a renewed understanding of the role technology can play in education and community development.

The Digital Literacy and Creativity Festival is more than a celebration—it is a comprehensive educational experience. By engaging with technology in hands-on, creative, and collaborative ways, participants gain practical skills, discover their potential, and contribute to a culture of digital empowerment that extends beyond the festival itself.
